In 2016, we were living in the beautiful small town of Oro Station, about 1 hour north of Toronto, Canada. We decided at that point in our lives it was time for change. Both Elisabeth and I had experience in working in the hotel and hospitality industry and we had dreamed of one day owning a lodge in Northern Canada. But with the help of a few friends and family we decided to head south vs north and set our eyes on Costa Rica, which happens to also be one of the Happiest Places on Earth according to National Geographic. So we sold our house packed up our three children (L-R: Nicolaas, Lysia, Dannika) and made the move. After alot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears from all involved; we are now ready to share Playa Junquillal Eco Resort with the rest of the world. Please come visit!
